Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator recently teamed up with Clipse’s Pusha T for a new track that will appear on Pusha T’s upcoming solo album, Fear of God Part 2: Let Us Pray. It’s a pretty entertaining video, worth checking out below.

Fennesz Live in SF (09/28/10)
I recently found some dated footage from my old phone memory card of Fennesz playing live on September 28th 2010 at the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco, CA.
I remember being disappointed that I had forgotten my camera to this show, but I ended up taking a few clips on my phone anyways. Check out a video I took from the said show below. It actually didn’t turn out as bad as I expected, but I guess it is ambient noise music at the end of the day, heh.
I’ve also included a few Fennesz classics in case you’ve never heard of him and want to familiarize yourself. Enjoy the sounds.
Iron & Wine Live on the 4AD Sessions
Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam recently played a live acoustic set in London for 4AD Records’ Sessions and lucky for us, the video has now graced youtube for everyone to enjoy (and enjoy it you will).
It is really a pleasure to see Beam return to his roots and play an acoustic set given that his albums and live sets have become increasingly grandiose in recent years (for better or worse, depending on who you ask).
Don’t get me wrong though, I think that the man is still churning out quality songs; nonetheless, I preferred his minimal lo-fi style in the early years as opposed to the more full band overproduced style of late. For example, I felt that his 2011 release Kiss Each Other Clean was good in its own right; but, I personally found myself enjoying the early live solo renditions of the songs more than the final album versions (like these I posted about a while ago).
Regardless, Sam Beam is still amazing as a solo musician and the with video below serves as ample proof. So go ahead and check it out already (with the set list below) to enjoy some relaxing indie folk goodness.
Set list:
- Tree By The River (0:06)
- Biting Your Tail (3:34)
- Big Burned Hand (7:07)
- Half Moon (10:01)
- Upward Over The Mountain (12:56)
Watch Animal Collective’s Set at Pitchfork Festival 2011
In case you didn’t know, Pitchfork has their annual music festival going on this weekend and (as the nice people they are) their site will be video streaming the festival for everyone online to watch for free. Check out the set times in case there are any bands left you still want to see and head to their site for the live stream.
Animal Collective headlined day one of the festival last night and the video stream of their set has already hit the internets (as well as audio too). As far as I’ve seen, this is probably the best quality live audio/video yet from Animal Collective’s 2011 tour. Check the video out, and feel free to snag the audio files below for your listening pleasure as well. Great stuff.

Panda Bear makes his TV Debut on Fallon
Animal Collective’s Panda Bear aka Noah Lennox recently made his tv debut as a solo artist recently on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon playing “You Can’t Count On Me” from his 2011 album Tomboy.
Panda Bear was joined onstage by Spacemen 3’s Sonic Boom (who helped mix Tomboy) while regular visual collaborator Danny Perez displayed waves of visuals over the entire stage. Check out the video below for yourself. Noah does a really nice rendition and intro of this tune.
[Editors Note: Stupid WordPress apparently doesn’t allow embedding photobucket videos and I can’t find a loophole so far, so for now you will just have to click on the link below to watch. Sorry.]
Also, a while back a new non-Tomboy Panda Bear song “Atiba” was featured in a GH2 Skate video that you should check out below. The song is lushly sweet and the skating is pretty awesome too. See for yourself…
